There are songs that kill. The authors of these songs have millions of lives on their hands. One such song is featured in the film. It is well known that even the deadliest poison, in microdoses, can save a life—but in doing so, it takes far more. This poison is wiping out generations.

His parent’s problems, the changes made by a new political system, and brutal swimming lessons have left their mark. When Enrico has an accident, Moritz is inspired to take matters into his own hands, and to no longer be a victim of his environment. LYCHEN 92 is an adaptation of the short story ELMER by Andreas Steinhöfel, set in the post-reign of East Germany.

In 1992 the Rostock riots and violent outbursts of a mob of 5000 in the north German town of Rostock shocked a worldwide TV-audience and led the attention to a new German problem: neo-Fascism had become a serious problem. The film shows the investigation of the incidents through a commission of enquiry build in the parliament in the town of Schwerin.
